Birthday in a lockdown is weird. I spent most of the day alone enjoying the outdoors and the sunshine. I missed my friends though. Missed gin with Gillian and laughing with Patrick.
Yesterday was hard. Too many idiots who continue with their selfishness despite a world desperate for kindness. I was attacked for not being able to take in every casualty and then our old bullies reared their ugly heads again. I think boredom plays a big part – go out and help make the world better and you will have less time for unkindness.
So its VE Day, the sun is shining and all the wonderful people who wished me a happy birthday have made my day.
