Artist In Residence

Julie Melling

We are so lucky to have an amazing artist working with us at Every Feather Bird & Wildlife Rescue. Julie has a passion for animals and has rescued a number of pigeons over the years. Her love of pigeons is what made her the perfect Artist in Residence here at Every Feather – pigeons are where it began for us after all.

We were approached by Julie last year about designing some Christmas Cards to help us raise funds. These were an amazing success with people even contacting us to say that they had framed one of the cards so they could hang the image on their wall. Sales exceeded our expectations and helped us to purchase food and medications over the Winter period.

Julie has a natural talent and her images truly come to life. We believe it takes someone with a real understanding of animals to capture them so beautifully.

We will be featuring some of Julie’s work in our shop in due course and also showcasing her work on our Facebook page.
